Greensted Dream expected to prevail in RGOA Members Trophy Race
Greensted Dream is tipped to claim the RGOA Members Trophy Race at Romford in England on Wednesday, June 27, 2012. The winner of the Grade A2 event will be awarded a cash prize of £116.
The competition will be extremely close in the 400 metres race, which will start at 21:09 GMT. All the greyhounds lined up for action are pretty much capable of fighting at the front, but the stamina of Greensted Dream puts him above others.
However, victories seem to have dried up for the M. Lucas’ trainee over the past few events, which will be a worrying sign for his fans at Romford. He has not won any event for the past six races, but has a solid chance of breaking the shackles today.
Despite being unable to make a big impression in recent times, the fawn dog has been finishing in the top three with consistency. He secured the third spot in his most recent outing, which was not a bad result for him at the end of the day.
Hades Rocket’s son out of Heroes Last Lass was given a starting price of 4 to 1 last time around and he broke in the race from trap number two. He had the speed at the start, but failed to capitalise on that. Although he failed to cause any problems for the top two finishers, he managed to hold onto his third place by a narrow margin.
Greensted Dream’s last victory came in a Grade A1 event in April this year. He was in decent form back then and had won the confidence of the bookies as well, getting the best odds for victory.
Although the seasoned hound was given a tough time by his rivals, he managed to prevail by a short head distance. A similar run would be required from him in order to take the top spot at Romford.
Looking at the recent form of Cujack, the bookmakers have rated him as the favourite to win. He has participated in a few trial runs at Romford and his performances in them have been decent.
In his most recent Grade A2 outing, the A. Ingram’s trained hound finished runner up, which shows that he has the ability to fight at the front.
