Greenwich Village of NY???

Question

How do you pronounce it? Do you say "Green-wick" or "Grenn-wick"?

And it is in Manhattan right??

You can reach Greenwich (gren-itch) village, or simple "the village" , located a little below midtown in Manhattan by taking the Subway to either West Fourth Street (A lot af lines go there) or the lexington Line to Astor Place.The village is below fourteenth street, mainly west of second ave, though I am sure that everyone will have there own boundaries.

The area is trendy, including many fine restaurants of all descriptions, clubs and shopping.  There are a couple of schools of note, NYU and Cooper Union.

Things to see include Washington Square Park, Bleecker Street,  Murray's Cheese Shop.  If you like spirited amateur basketball, you can see some talented players in the park on sixth avenue and about sixth street.

It's in Manhattan but it's pronounced Grenich. A lot of people just call it "the village."

Its totally, "Gren-ige" Village, don't say "Green-witch" haha.

And yes it is in Manhattan. Very trendy area, all types of people. its the area right below Bleeker St. and near Houston.
