The Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday November 6, announced promotions of three front office staff members. The promoted trio includes Greg Bader, Neil Aloise and Mike Hoppes.
Greg Bader has been named the vice president of communications and marketing. Bader had been serving as the director of communications since January 2007. He began his career with the Orioles in 1994 as an intern of public relations and has served in various
capacities since. He will continue to oversee the important functions of marketing, public relations and communications for the team and now will also manage the club’s community relations, programs and production departments.
Neil Aloise joined the organisation in 1998 as a fan service representative. He held the post of director of sales and fan services since 2007. He has now been promoted to vice president of ticketing and fans service. Aloise will now be looking after the
club’s operational and customer service aspects of the Camden Yards experience, including ballpark operations, ticketing and food services.
The club saw over 2.1 million fans arrive to watch their home games at the Camden Yards. With the team improving its performance, more fans should be walking through the gates in the coming seasons. Neil’s effort will certainly be crucial in providing the
fans with a memorable club experience.
Mike Hoppes started out as a staff accountant in 1986. In 2006, he became the director of finance, a position he held until now. As vice president of finance, he will now be overseeing team’s accounting functions and finances.
Doug Duennes, the executive vice president for the business operations was pleased with the services the three have performed for the ball club. He in a press release expressed gratitude to the three for their efforts and loyalty that they had shown to the
Orioles.
"Neil, Greg and Mike have been loyal and valuable contributors to our business operations for many years and we are pleased to have them play such important roles in helping to grow our brand to the benefit of everyone who enjoys Orioles baseball," he said.
Doug was also vocal about the efforts by the club to improve the fans’ experience with the O’s, both on and off the field. "We continually strive to improve the Orioles' operations both on and off the field and provide our fans with the best experience possible,"
the executive vice president said.
It’s a great move by the club to promote the trio that has been loyal to the club for so many years. It will provide other front office staff members of the Baltimore Orioles to work hard and remain loyal to the club. We hope that the three can continue
their good work and serve the team and its fans even better for many years to come.
