Greg Chappell, the former Australian captain and the ex Indian coach, has claimed that the prolific Indian batsman, Sachin Tendulkar, has been mentally fragile at certain stages in his cricketing career.
"At one point early in my time with the (Indian) team... he came and talked to me for about two hours," Chappell wrote in his book.
Chappell further said that the batsman was frustrated at that time with his form and was losing confidence. He further said that Tendulkar was mentally fragile since he had returned from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Malaysia-c2949 and consulted Chappell for help.
"When the team travelled, he would snap on his headphones, not look sideways, and shut it all out. Not even Don Bradman carried expectations like this, and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Chinnadupargea-Sachin-c50607 had been bearing it since 1989,” Chappell added.

“Once we were talking ... and I said, 'You must have so many friends, it must be hard finding time to keep in touch with all of them'. He looked me in the eye and said, 'Greg, you would have more friends in India than I've got',"
Chappell wrote.
The 38-year-old has featured in 181 Test matches, scoring 14965 runs, including 51 centuries and 61 fifties; whereas batting in 442 ODI innings, he has amassed 18111 runs at an average of 45.16, including 48 centuries and 95 fifties.
The veteran is just a century away from hitting his 100th International ton. In the year 2000, he became the world’s first batsman to hit fifty International hundreds.
