  1. I'd rather see Boony in charge. He would be able to sufficiently educate our talented young players on the art of excessive consumption of beer.

    Chappell will do though.

  2. I think Greg Chappell will do a fine job. He is a good experienced cricketer. He has the potential but pressure gets to him (we saw this during when he was coach of India and during the underarm incident).

  3. GREAT PERSON TO TEACH  THEM HOW TO CHEAT!!

  4. Greg Chappell's stint as India's coach wasn't a great one but I feel he has a good ability of recognizing young talent.

He was inspirational in forming India's young brigade.

He backed Suresh Raina to the hilt and we can see how good Raina is!!!

Cricket Australia has been doing well in nurturing talent of the youngsters in Australia by appointing capable people, so Greg Chappell must indeed be the best choice available to C.A.

So it seems to be a good move!

    Cheers :)

  5. i hope he doesn't try to pull some Gangulys out of Aussies young players , all bunch of cheats with the same type of coach, lol, !

  6. Boony could bring back the fine art of growing a large bushy moustache, that seems to be sadly lacking in todays game

  7. Chappell was one of our best Captains ever. To say he failed with the Indian team coaching is a laugh. You can't fail with failures! For a start, they are arrogant, haughty & disrespectful to anyone who isn't Indian. They hire foreign coaches but are too arrogant to be coached. They are not a top team despite what their fans here think. Chappell will do fine here, he is respected & looked up to.

  8. oh! does he have man b***s?

  9. i am sure he would good with younster

  10. Don't feel that it's a good decision! Greg Chapell is undoubtedly a great and legendary cricketer, but he doesn't have the what it's needed to make a good coach-he just doesn't have the temperament! He almost led Indian cricket to its doom-India's world cup campaign turned out to be a disaster, as after losing to a minnow like Bangladesh, India had to depart from the first round itself. Greg's strategy didn't work at all!

Moreover, Chapell's ego always overrules his good senses. His man management is too poor, and he just doesn't understand the psychology of his players. The way he treated a player like Ganguly, who was also the one that got him appointed as the coach in the 1st place is beyond reproach. A good cricketer doesn't necessarily make a good coach. He was stubborn at times, and lacked the flexibility to get along well with the Indians.

So, I don't think that he will be that successful in training the future players of Australia. But perhaps, he can atleast do a better job than the one he did at India, because the Aussie players being his own countrymen, there  would be better understanding between the coach and the players. But at the same time, I do feel that the Aussie youngsters have much to learn from Chapell's cricketing skills, to groom them for the future, and make them ready to take the responsibilty of the national team.
