Greg Maddux Goes to the Dodgers?

Good or bad for the dodgers and why?

Good. Not really significant, but good. He replaces Jason Johnson with Greg Maddux.

bad,yeah sure he is a decent pitcher but old timers like him have there low points Maddux is having his and they already got Manny which has given the Dodgers a huge boost to take over the NL West against the D-Backs so it wasn't a good move by Joe Torre and the Dodgers

Again? Probably isnt good or bad for the Dodgers, probably better for the Padres at this point because with Maddux gone, that leaves a spot open in their rotaion which gives opportunities to the young players for the Sept. call ups to pitch. The Padres need better starting pitching, along with other things...they werent going to bring him back next year, might as well get a head start on whos going to be the 5th starter for the 09 version of the team.

For the Dodgers, even if they do make it to the playoffs, which they wont, they will just get knocked out anyway, there are much better teams who they will face in the playoffs who LA stands no chance against. Just because the RE-add Muddux to their rotation/bullpen, doesnt mean they are world series material.

FYI...they have won only 1 playoff game in the last 19 seasons, and that was back in the NLDS game 1 in '06 thanks to a Garciaparra walk-off, i believe.

good his better then stults or jhonson the ones that were gonna replace penny. and last time we go maddux we went to the playoffs hopefully this year to.

he has a losing record cause of the padres low run support and he could pitch.

Good...  Greg Maddux is the sh*t!  I mean he is kinda old, but he was still one of the best pitchers of our time.

at the moment bad. maddux cant pitch for jack and if he does pitch well, itll probably next year

good pickup. They picked up a solid vet whos HOF material and is still a good pitcher.

it doesent mater dbacks will take it webb haren and johnson best 3 rotation all have 10 or more wins (webb has 18 )

good cuz they ain't gonna make the playoffs anyways so why not let the man finish his career in Hollywood

I don't know yet he is good but he is kind of old. So we will just have to wait and see.
