Greg Page vs John Tate, 15 rounds who wins?

Tough call.  It all depends on "which" Greg Page shows up.  Of all the pretenders who held portions of some title, during Larry Holmes' reign, Page could have been the best.  Pinklon Thomas and Tim Witherspoon were the best of that terrible bunch and neither of them lasted long either because none of them had the discipline to train.  To his credit, Thomas was usually in decent shape.  What good does that do when you cant put the drugs down?

Page could win this fight.  This is a fight he SHOULD win.  However, it could also be another of those fights he SHOULD HAVE won but didn't because he was too lazy to train.  

A conditioned Greg Page would win a decision over the robitic John Tate.  The problem here is that Tate trained sometimes and Page trained RARELY.   Makes for a boring fight with few exchanges and a lot of hugging.  

Should be a good fight.  Its a shame.  If you look at the line-up you would see that some of those guys weren't bad fighters.  I dare say they could have rivaled the 70s contenders in much the same way the 84 olympic team rivaled the 76 team.  They could have at least produced valid arguments for comparisons.    

I think its because most of them grew up during a time when America started to pamper its boys.  You cant get your knees dirty or play touch football on the pavement anymore.  Instead, sit in front of the TV and have cake.  It's just too bad that none of those guys trained much.

IF (and thats a BIG 'IF') he could come in shape, Page wins a close decision over the robitic John Tate.  The reality is that Page would not be in the best of shape.  He just wasn't one for training.   In this case, Tate takes a boring decision.

Pretty even fight here.  Page has the faster hands so I believe he wins a close decision over Big John Tate.
