German club Greuther Furth have confirmed the signing of Serbian forward Nikola Djurdjic from Haugesund. The young attacker was reported to be under the radar of English Premier League side Fulham in the build up to the January
transfer window, but he has decided to pursue his career in the German top division.
The attacker has put pen-to-paper and will be contracted to the newly-promoted side until the summer of 2016. He spent last campaign on loan at Swedish team Helsingborg, where he scored 14 goals in 19 games in all competitions.
As a result of his current form, he was snapped up to help Furth stay in the German top flight league.
The youngster claimed that the deal from Cloverleaves was too good to refuse and he accepted it immediately. He stated that head coach Mike Buskens was keen to avail his services and his interest led him to sign for the German
team. The trainer assured him of a first-team spot and the player is hoping to feature a lot for his new side.
"The offer was fantastic and I could not say no to it," he was quoted as saying in an interview.
"The manager wanted me; I was his first choice, so I can expect to play plenty of games,” the former Radnicki Pirot, Vozdovac and Helsingborg player added.
"So far everything is great and I can't wait to start my new adventure,” the 26-year-old mused.
"I believe this is the best move for my career at this time. I will be playing in the Bundesliga and my dreams will come true," the frontman finally concluded.
Nikola suggested that things look pretty good until now and he is eagerly anticipating starting his new chapter in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904. He said that he thinks it will be a wise move for him at this stage of his career. He conceded that it
was his lifelong dream to ply his trade in the Bundesliga.
