So... I'm sure some of you have head about the request to downsize the wolf population in Yellowstone by 700 animals. Now... I've seen the petition, and the petition website... but all those sites every tell you is how to sign and that animals are going to be slaughtered. There is never any real information. I just want to know whats the reason to downsize the population. Lack of food? Risk to other endangered animals in the area? Ranchers? I just want facts, not emotional opinions.

  1. i'm from wisconsin - the dove became the bird of peace for wisconsin - now get this - some people got mad and demanded to be able to use them for target practice - and the law actually passed.

it is a case were an inmate took over the nut house.  i was just thinking about that tonight - how hateful people impact policy - but more importantly they are allowed to impact policy - it is sad, it is cruel and it happens.

it will take more then a petition most likely - but do what you can and good luck.

  2. Ranchers are to blame for the slaughter of the wolves, they don't want to lose any cattle although they are grazing their cattle on public lands. These lands are leased for so long the public will never be able to walk on them. That may not always be the case but it is certaintly one of them.

  3. I really think it's the rancher that wants to kill them. But I feel they should leave them alone it was their land before the ranchers moved there so they should have known there would be trouble from wolves. Just like everything else people thinks that because they are just animals it don't matter if they are killed off or not just think about it for awhile and you will see what this earth would be like without animals on it.
