Question:

Grey hair and henna dye?

Hi,

I have some grey hair lately here and there and I would like to get rid of it. Initially I tried cutting the grey ones out and it worked bt now it looks like i have too many to cut! I have no other option than to dye my hair. I am 30 years old and I am afraid to dye my hair now, afraid that I will start having more grey hair once I start dying. Can anyone suggest what to do? Has anyone gone thru this situation? How about using henna to dye, will it it or will it look odd? By the way My hair is black. Please help.

Thanks

  1. I use safe natural henna and stay away from fake black dangerous stuff.

    I get great henna here

  2. Either go to the hairdresser and ask her to match your hair color and cover the gray, or go to the beauty supply close to your home and purchase some hair color, close to your natural color to cover. Or you could go blond to cover the gray. Coloring your hair is not going to increase the amount of gray hair you happen, that is simply going to have according to genetics, heredity, and the aging process.

  3. My mom uses the henna stuff. She also has black hair. Because the stuff is natural, it's hard to cover up the grey hairs. But if you leave it in for about six hours, it's alright. Since your hair is black, why not dye it, I'm sure that no one will notice...

  4. i agreeeee with dj conquest

  5. You could try black henna. Henna is a much safer, healthier alternative to regular hair dyes and comes in many shades including dark brown and black.

    Good luck!

And to the person who said henna will look red: there are different shades, and moreover, you can do a strand test to make sure you like how it turns out. I don't think the black henna looks red..

  6. do not use henna dye it will come out orange or orange/reddish,. and it might look odd. your best bet is to just get dark brown hair colour and mix up a bit and use that on the grey areas, leave it in for a good 45 mins and it will do the trick nice! dont use henna trust me.
