Greyhound 14 day advanced fares?

I traveled on Greyhound back in May and used their 14 day advanced purchase discount. Now I'm looking to travel again in September and I don't see any of their usual discounts anymore. No 7 day advanced, 14 day advanced or companion discounts. What cost around 200 bucks then now cost about 400 bucks now without any discount. Anyone find know what happened or know of any coupon codes? Have gas prices gone up so much that they discontinue these discounts. Price increase I understand but double seems like a lot. Thanks for any help. :-)

Greyhound dropped ALL discounts and coupons the 1st of june and raised their prices 40%...and will not re-instate discounts until at least Fall.  I have recently found their service to be horrid...filthy, falling-apart stations, dirty, falling apart, cramped buses, rude drivers, long delays, lost luggage.  Can't say anything good about Greyhound.  For my return trip i checked on Craigslist and also posted a message there and got a great ride with a college student who even gave me references.  I think you are just as safe if not safer, and more comfortable finding a ride on Craigslist...look under rideshare.  You could also check out the new ridefinder service called Zimride.
