Question:

Greyhound Bus Drivers Are n***s? Worst Road Experience Ever?

I had to take Greyhound last month from Walkes Barre Pennsylvania to Oceanside California. It took like 3 days. The whole time it seemed the bus drivers were all in a bad mood.

I wore flip flops on the bus trip. Some of the bus drivers made me feel like a criminal for not taking other shoes? One bus driver told me how unsafe it was to wear other shoes and told me I should check my bag for other shoes.Him and one other driver yelled at me on the bus for having my toes over the thong strap. My feet are on top of my shoes.WTF?He said that the next time he went down the aisle and my toes were not all the way in the sandal like they are supposed to be worn he will not drive until I am off the bus.It seemed like every stop the driver would get on the loudspeaker and say they were checking to see if your shoes were on.

If you go from PA to CA on a bus and you have on flip flops why would they care if your toes are not all the way in the shoe?Your feet won't smell. People seem them anyway.

  1. they get payed cheaply what do you expect lol

  2. Next time you get on the bus for a long trip

Tell the bus driver that you dont give a c**p about the rules he wants to make up.

There is nothing that says you have to wear shoes to ride the bus.

    Your not allowed to smoke

    scream

    fight

    eat

    Thats about it.

  3. Well let me start off by saying that I am a Greyhound driver, with that being said I am apalled and ashamed by that drivers behavior.  Not all drivers are as ignorant as the driver you had come in contact with.  No there is no rule about wearing shoes on the bus, however, If you do have a foot odor problem you can and will be asked to wear your shoes.  The reason for this is that foot odor is offensive to other passengers.  We as drivers are responsible for everyone's safety and comfort aboard our buses.  So please dont generalize all drivers as n***s, most of us are just hard working people with families and lives of our own.  We try not to bring our problems to work with us, but we are human to and sometimes have a bad day, just like you.
