the world is only shocked because it happened in canada.  take a good look at news from anywhere in africa - things like this happen every day there, yet no-one is rushing to find out why or give the witnesses therapy.

we in the west are so coddled, we very conveniently forget that the whole world is not like our tidy little corner of it.  most people would probably benefit from a year working in africa or south america.  see what real horror and deprivation is all about - then we'd stop whining about not being able to find the right colour shoes to match our new outfit!!

People always try to find rational reasons for irrational acts. Sometimes there just aren't any. There was no evidence whatsoever of a connection between the two... as someone else implied. The guy was either a pure and simple psycho or he was hopped up on something and the poor schlub sitting beside him suffered the consequences.

The man who did it obviously is mentally sick and should be stuck in a nut house for the rest of his life!

Strange that everyone else on the bus just ran off and allowed it to happen.

We need more vigilantes in this world. We need more people willing to help out in time of need. There had to be at least 20 other people on that bus, Had they all rushed that maniac at once they could have ripped him to pieces and saved the victim. Instead they ran from one small guy with a knife.

Things like that usually don't happen for just no reason at all. Just like you wont get murdered walking down the street in a bad neighbourhood if you did nothing wrong... You have to get on someone's nerves.

Usually its something like a bad drug deal or you were talking to someone's girlfriend a little too much. There is always some other reason.,

So they say the guys didn't know eachother, but I think they likely did. Maybe the guy was talking to the killer's girlfriend online and he hunted the guy down? Something like that.. Or just said something to set the guy off.

Things like that usually don't happen for no reason. Robberies and rapes and stuff do but not that.

Sorry if anyone disagrees. Just what I think though

First of all Ray <3...you are entitled to your own opinion even tough you are an idiot..... This act is unimaginable...something out of a horror flick....I too am shocked that no one came to his aid.

The guy is a psycho. The kid must have done something to trigger the attack though.
