Question:

Greyhound checked baggage with no bus station?

The last time I rode greyhound the general rule was that you needed to have a tag (from the ticket counter) attached to your luggage for it to be put under the bus. Well this time, the place where I am catching the bus there isn't a bus station it's just a bus port next the the airport. What do I do? Will the bus driver know that I can't have a tag and just put in under the bus anyway?

  1. The bus driver should have tags and give you one half and put the other half on the bag.  Be extremely careful and watch your bag every time the bus stops.  Ask to see your bag with your own eyes every time they stop and open that baggage compartment to put in or take out baggage...otherwise your chances of NOT having your bag when you arrive at your destination are pretty good.  I took a long trip on Greyhound 2 months ago.  They managed to lose my bag between Dallas and Colorado Springs and we had no bus changes on that leg. They just found it now...2 months later...and I am 2000 miles from where my bag is...and it is my responsibility to figure out how to get it.  I have absoluely no trust in Greyhound.
