Greyhound racing frenzy at Hall Green, Mylo Smith, Compass Blossom and Ballinclare Lee among winners
Monday, the 4th of July, was a highly active day at Hall Green with twelve races on the cards for the day.
The first race was a Grade A7, 480m flat race that kicked off at 11:03am, comprising a field of six. The six participants of the first race were Mylo Smith, Jabitoutjoe, Playboy Heff, Compass Tubbs, Kilmagner Jeff and Expelliarmous.
Mylo Smith, son of Clash Harmonica and Amazing Lleyton, won the race in 29.90 seconds, exhibiting an entertaining appetizer for the audiences.
The next race on the cards was another 480m flat that started sixteen minutes after the first one. This was a Grade A5 race that showcased another six hounds.
Compass Blossom, Dukes Daughter, Rock It Audrey, Move On Girlie, Catunda Vic and Aghagay were the contenders of the second race.
Running from Trap 2, Compass Blossom surpassed all others to win this race.
This was followed by another 480m Grade A5 flat race won by Ballinclare Lee, who slaughtered a field of five others, including Babette, Killishin Septic, Rock It Jupiter, Heaven Forbid and Farkland Bugatti, crossing the finish-line in 29.62 seconds.
The fourth race of the day started off at 11:48am, contested by Mays Little Rose, Trumpers Patty, Airforce One, Soda Jack, Indigo Honey and Aughburn Wood.
Glenhill Flash was the favourite to win the race but could not run the race due to fitness issues and it was eventually won by Mays Little Rose.
The sixth race carried a prize of £92 and was run at 12:18am by Klockwork Krai, Gallowstown Star, Glenhill Rebel, Colonel Cam, Prodigy Pearl and Rock It Roger. This 480m flat race was won by Klockwork Krai, son of Hondo Black.
After a sixteen minute hiatus, the next race started with runners, Florida Barbie, Lagganmore Mally, Movealong Mel, Snowy Hurricane, Rathcrea Royal and Compass Joe.
Florida Barbie won the race, finishing in 29.59 seconds.
The eighth race on the cards was competed amongst Master Of Chase, Have Faith, Compass Pat, Best Seller, Compass Tucker and Big Bad Josh.
While Master Of Chase won the race, finishing in 29.52 seconds, both Have Faith and Compass Pat were tied for the second place.
Other winners from the day included Valais Rover in the ninth race, Ballygodoon Cool in the tenth race, Rock It Mourinho in the eleventh race, Marigold Miller in the fifth race, and Big Bad Brad in the final race.
