Gripping Stuff favourite for The Guest Motors Trophy
Gripping Stuff is rated favourite for The Guest Motors Trophy at Hall Green in England on Tuesday, April 24, 2012. The cash prize of £175 has been set for the winner of the Grade OR event.
The 645 metres flat race is scheduled to start at 20:01 GMT and following are the entries confirmed for it: Gripping Stuff, Mohican Bluebell, Bodell Bernina, Dromana Laura, Shades Of Ace and Westmead Isla.
Although Gripping Stuff has been unable to deliver winning results in his past three races, the bookies have shown full confidence in his abilities. He might not attract a lot of bets in his favour today, as the punters would want to risk money on a consistent
performer.
However, the C. Kyme’s trainee is used to the pressure of running in this class, thus he will be in better shape compared to the rest of his opponents. He made his debut this year and started off doing some trial runs at the beginning. His performances were
good enough to earn him a chance in the Grade OR events, but he has not managed to win until now.
In his most recent race, Gripping Stuff finished fifth in the end. He was not given good odds, as some of the other runners were in great form. The disappointing thing was his inability to challenge his rivals in the event.
The black dog will need to be at his absolute best in order to take his maiden victory. He is the son of Hondo Black out of Have One More and was born in August 2010.
On the other hand, Mohican Bluebell is a little more experienced compared to the race favourite. However, she has not raced in this class before, thus it will be difficult for her to match her rivals. She has a good stamina, which might encourage the bettors
to risk some money in her favour.
The N. McDonald’s trainee did a decent job in her most recent race, as she finished third in it. However, she was unable to match the speed of the top two in that event, which is not a good sign.
Bodell Bernina and Dromana Laura might also manage to fight for victory at Hall Green today.
