After Griqualand West got bowled-out for 152 in their first innings, they were manhandled by their opposition as Free State ended the first day of play with 207 on the board for the loss of three wickets.
PJ van Biljon and RT Bailey resumed the second day of play, but were not successful as the partnership was broken earlier in the morning with only 209 on the board when http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Graham-Robert-Cowdrey-c60631 Biljon lost his wicket to Coetzee with 62 runs to his name.

The lower-order needed to rebuild the innings, however, apart from RK Terblanche (22) no one managed to stand against the bowlers as Free State crumbled just one run short of reaching 300.
Griqualand West’s J Coetzee, was phenomenal as he took five wickets to leave his opposition in ruins.
Aiming to give a better show the second time around, Griqualand West, managed to forge an opening stand of 43 runs before AL Seleka had his stumps shattered with 11 to his name.
RA Adams, then saw the ball hit timber as he lost his wicket after hammering 47 runs off 59 deliveries.
GL Cloete and WR Landsdale then kept the team’s innings moving forward, taking the score to 123 before Cloete was snapped up by Erlank for 38.
While the remaining batsmen gave some modest performances, WR Landsdale, stood apart with his brilliant 48, as his side managed to post 226 for seven at stumps.
