Grizzlies Could Target Marion, Odom, Wilcox, Z-Bo

The part about this is at the bottom of the article it starts like this "Now that Smith is a Hawk again....". http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/story?columnist=ford_chad&page=smithhawks-080809

Based on that I came up with this trade

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=3195~3197~549~617~510&teams=14~14~14~29~13&te=&cash=

As it says in the article the grizz are targeting veterans with expiring contracts and I’m assuming big men as well from that list.

In this trade I would also include a 2nd round pick from Miami going to the LA, this way Miami get's 2 promising point guards and 3 expiring contracts the weak end of the trade but they don't exactly end up losing either with those bevy of expiring contracts. The grizz get Odom(vet with expiring contract), and the Lakers get Marion a 2nd round pick.

What do you think?

  1. then wat happens to the pg position for the grizzlies, i dont like it

  2. They just need to work with what they have and draft better.  Maybe, Chris Wilcox and Z-Bo, but don't they already have a SF in Rudy g*y?

Marion will doesn't want to be a 3rd or 4th option for any team unless he is part of the vocal point on offense. Odom is a SF and wants to play SF and will stay with the Lakers since Bynum is expected back.

But, the Griz with g*y, Mayo, and Conley, JR. look like they're starting on the right path.

  3. The Grizzlies will miss. They ain't ever going to catch my  Tinkerpau again.
