Gro-bag and blankets ?

ihave a 6 week old who is now in a gro-bag cos he keeps kicking off his covers at night. do i still need to cover him in blankets too ? i cant remember what the recommended 'tog' total of clothing and blankets should be.

  1. No, just the gro-bag should be enough.  They come in different togs for different temperatures but generally a 2.5 tog for a 18-22 o/c room is fine.  

    The gro-bag packaging had the temperature guide.


  2. I put mine to sleep in a vest, sleepsuit and then a growbag. I often put a blanket over her if its cold. I check her when i go up to bed to make sure if she's warm enough.

  3. The best advice I ever got was that your child needs as many layers as you do.  

    So assuming you're sleeping under one blanket, the bag alone will do.  If you're under two or more, put an extra layer on your baby BEFORE you bag him.

  4. no u dont else the baby will overheat all the baby needs is a vest on then put the gro-bag on he/she will be fine
