Grocery bags at grocery stores?

most of the time they're asking me if I want a bag if I buy something small. But other times they won't bother.

Are they trying to save on bags or something?

  1. its because some cazshiers are to lazy to bag it for you..so they dont offer...used to be they asked if you wanted paper or plastic..

  2. you wouldn't need a bag if its something small

its saving money and being green

ask for no bag if thats the case

  3. no it is because if it is a small item., most people usually say they dont want a bag, so the cashier out of habit doenst ask because they usually say they dont want one.

  4. They are probably trying to conserve their bags. A grocery clerk told me in the near future the customer will have to pay for the bags they get. I switched over to canvas bags a whhile ago. Now I have them load my groceries directly back into the cart and I bag them myself at my trunk. I love it, I feel like I'm helping the environment and have the extra benefit of bagging my items the way I store them at home. It works best for me, and I won't use store bags anymore.

  5. It's a combination of saving bags to be green and saving money.

  6. Yes, they are saving and at the same time they do what their customers prefer (with or without bag).
