Grogeen Lodge likely to thrive in Stadium Bookmakers Sprint
The R. Baker-trained brindle dog, Grogeen Lodge, is likely to lead the line-up and finish first in the Stadium Bookmakers Sprint that will be held at Oxford racecourse on Thursday night, July 12. The Open Race over 250 meters is scheduled to start at 19:50
(GMT).
Since debuting in March 2012, the three-year-old young and momentous hound has accomplished a number of glaring feats. After winning two big races during the very first month of his career, the dashing dog moved ahead to get a triumph each in April and May.
During June, the brilliant son of Kinloch Brae out of Grogeen Lady stepped forward to win an A2 and A1 race marvellously in a row. He finished third in his last start on July 7.
Interesting to note is the fact that the maverick sprinter has stepped out of the podium for just two times in his career. In rest of the race, he kept getting one podium place or the other.
However, the skilled runner has gained some significant favourite tags so far. In tonight’s marathon, Grogeen Lodge will be able to make a big impact again in a bid to add another glaring conquest to his success-studded portfolio.
On his way towards the finish line, the gifted dog will have to face the wrath of Slick Sinatra who also poses to be a strong candidate for the Stadium Bookmakers Sprint title.
The N. Colton-trained black dog nicely won each of the last three races of his career. During the last month, the veteran hound excellently won two D1 races while being a favourite for each.
The son of Droopys Scolari out of Little Flutter went on to finish first in a T2 race on July 7. This fantastic hat-trick boosted up the dog’s morale greatly. Now, he is all set to go for a big show tonight.
Thus, there will be witnessed an awe-inspiring clash between Grogeen Lodge and Slick Sinatra. The event will entertain the spectators a lot, but it is likely to be nail-biting for the punters. Let us enjoy the amazing race at Oxford. Good luck to the entire
line-up of six hounds.
