Grogeen Meadow expected to win Maiden Standard
Grogeen Meadow is expected to clinch top position against Jolly Fagan, Born To Survive, Sams Dee, Millstreet Lady and Barnish Booth when he will run at Oxford racecourse on Thursday night, June 14. The Open Race over the distance of 450 is set to start at
22:00 (GMT).
The R. Baker-trained brindle dog owns a terrific track record. Since debuting with a classic conquest on March 5, 2012, he has accomplished a number of feats so far.
After winning each of his first two races convincingly, the three-year-old novice runner elegantly gained a triumph on March 29. He moved on to earn a runner-up rank on April 28.
The dashing dog marvellously bagged a couple of consecutive triumphs in the month of May. He extended this winning momentum to the next month as well and finished as a runner-up on June 2.
The brilliant son of Kinloch Brae out of Grogeen Lady nicely finished first in his last start on June 9, boosting up his morale greatly and getting reasonable odds in the betting market.
At the moment, Grogeen Meadow is carrying immense winning momentum that will help him thrive in the Maiden Standard. He has up to 95 percent chances to finish first.
However, on his way towards the finish line, the dog will have to face some arduous challenges from Barnish Booth and Jolly Fagan.
Barnish Booth is on the verge of a hat-trick. The K. Hutton-trained white and fawn dog superbly claimed a triumph each on June 2 and 9, 2012. He started his career with a runner-up rank on May 19.
The son of Nobooth For Gary out of Marys Moment looks to be strong enough and he will surely give tough time to Grogeen Meadow.
On the other hand, Jolly Fagan staged a stunning debut with a victory by 8 lengths on March 22, 2012. The T. A. Johnson-trained black dog accomplished a fabulous hat-trick from April 14 to May 3.
After getting a runner-up position on May 10, he notched up top spot in his last start on May 31.
Thus, there will be a stiff scuffle in the race. Success is not going to be an easy task for any of the hounds. Let us see who turns the tables. Good luck to all.
