  1. I went with my fiance to pick out his tux, the groomsmen's tuxes, (since I wanted their vests to match my girls dresss) and the fathers tuxes, and the ring bear. You can do it however you would like, but personally I was glad I was there to give my opinoins!

    Good Luck!

  2. eitehr way.  If she wants it a certain way she can go on the first appoitment to look at colors and coordinate.  then her can go for fittings.

  3. Usually you go shopping for your dress, he goes to do the tuxes. However, the two of you could already choose the style and colours before he goes.

  4. Either way is fine...

Personally I delegated the job to my MIL to be, I sent her with a swatch of fabric from the bridesmaids dresses and instruction  "Match it and don't let him get an ugly tux."

She did wonderfully, he will wear anything someone lays out for him,  so he was happy to have someone tell him what he would wear...  If they didn't have to do measurements he wouldn't have even had to go LOL

  5. It depends. if the groom is the type of guy who knows how to dress formal and you both feel comfortable letting him make those choices then he can go alone.

More often than not the Bride does come with usually to help make suggestions on color more than style.

    Best of luck!

  6. I went with my hubby, and showed him the color I was looking at (dark, deep purple). When he said he was fine with that, I left, and he picked the pattern in that color. He was so handsome, I almost cried when I walked in and saw him. :)

  7. Actually the bride and groom should go the first time so that you can co-ordinate your colors, if the colors are hard to match. Thats if you trust his color cordinating judgement.   If the groom is a good enough dresser , to the brides liking,  then he can go alone/ or with the guys.  Also,, he can go along-- if he just needs to get something black or dark, or whatever.   I would wanna go with-///...---===first-- but that just me!!!!!!!

  8. i don't think there is either a customary or etiquette answer to this.

If he wants her to come with him, fine.

    If not, fine.

after all, the bride already has a ton of stuff she has to do.

  9. he gose with his buddys !!!

  10. The groom's suit is suposssed to match the bride's dress...if he doesnt know what your dress looks like, how can he get something that matches? Likewise the groomsmen are supossed to match the bridesmaids

If you dont want to go yourself, an alternative is to have a bridesmaid go along with them to match everything up. Or let a trusted groomsman (who has a good fashion sense) see the bridesmaids and the bridal dress, and then he can go along with your groom. Ultimately, SOMEONE has to go along who knows what the other outfits are, so they can make sure everything matches. This can be you or anyone else

  11. OH NO!!! You have to go! LOL, its not like your dress where you can't see the tux before the wedding. You have to have it match the colors in your wedding party. I went with my husband and we came to an agreement before hand, we both picked two items and then eliminated from their. It is important to make sure everything has a nice flow. Most guys no how to dress themselves, but not the entire bridal party. GOOD LUCK

  12. my hubby wanted me to go, we chose a color before hand but when we got there, we realized it wasn't the right color, I let him pick what he wanted...but he wanted me there for support

  13. You can.  Or you can just give the groom and his men a swatch of the color of dresses the girls are wearing.  Mine was simple, I told him a light Grey tux and his tie and cummerbund in white, and the best men and guys in a royal blue tie and cummerbund.

  14. I did wanted everything to match and they are not very good at doing that.

  15. As others have said, its meant to match the brides dress and bridesmaids etc.

I went with my FH, and it was hilarious. He's such a numpty, the dressing rooms are off the main shop floor, with HUGE windows onto the high street, of course he came out doing super macho poses, and dancing around. The assistant thought he was nuts and gave us a discount! lol.
