  1. cats don't really need to be bathed, unless there is a skunk or flea issue. It is not good for the skin or coat, because it removes the oil that is there. It is really a bad idea to bathe a cat that has a wound that is healing. They do sell wipes that are made for wiping down cats, and baby wipes would probably work on the wound area if there is some kind of ooze or something.

  2. I would wait. If she's smelling very bad, my vet suggested baby wipes when I got mine spayed. It works really well. You should wait until the stitches dissolve or are removed (depending on what type she has).

  3. I guess I am puzzled why you feel she needs a bath.  She gives herself a bath continuously throughout the day.  Cats are not like dogs, and do not need to be bathed.  About the only cats who get a regular bath are show cats, and if your cat was one, you wouldn't be posting the question here.

But yes, everything is healed, unless you see redness and oozing.  In fact, 10 days is the typical time for stitches removal.

  4. no, you need to wait for six weeks before bathing or grooming a cat.  If you are just getting it brushed and NOT bathed, that is fine as long as you let the groomer know about the wound area.
