The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 international claims that the reigning Bundesliga champions will face tricky opponents in the round of 16, but is hoping his side can qualify to the next round if they continue their top form in Europe
Borussia Dortmund winger Kevin Grosskreutz insisted that his team have a tough encounter ahead of them in the shape of Shakhtar Donetsk in the first round of the UEFA Champions League. However, he said that the Ukrainian side will
be sore after being drawn against the German champions.
The star player will be looking forward to get the same result when the two teams met in 2001 Champions League third qualifying round. The BVB beat them 3-1 at home and won 2-0 at the Turkish side’s stadium to wrap up a 5-1 aggregate
victory. He will not take Mircea Lucescu’s side easy this time around.
The attacker claimed that if the Black Yellows maintain the same form they displayed against Ajax and Manchester City, then they can comfortably defeat Shakhtar. Nevertheless, he urged his team to be cautious in their approach
of their Champions League opponents.
"We have to stay alert because they will not be easy opponents," he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The young starlet further added that their rivals have a decent defensive unit along with good strikers. He admitted that the playing conditions in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 even harder, but is still confident of reaching the
quarter-final of the tournament.
"They are very good defensively, but also have good forwards. The weather will certainly not help us, but if we reproduce the form we showed in our last two Champions League games, we can progress,” he added.
"Donetsk won't exactly be celebrating the fact that they have been drawn against us,” he mused.
"We haven't exactly got our ideal opponents. It's a tough task, but we showed during the group stage that we can do well against strong sides,” he stated.
Kevin stated that Donetsk will not be happy to meet the Borussians in the round of 16, but will try their best to shock the German double winners in February.
