The German international suggested that he will give his maximum effort to keep his place in the first team and that he is fully determined to perform.
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Kevin Grosskreutz has stated that he is not frightened when he is on the field of play and that he will do everything to safeguard his spot in the double winning German team. The winger was instrumental
for Die Borussen outfit when they won the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal last season.
The 24-year-old faces stiff competition for places in the upcoming campaign with Mario Gotze regaining his fitness and the new signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Reus-c23733 from Borussia Monchengladbach in contention for a first team place.
The youngster is not fazed by these developments and is willing to work harder in training as he work his way through to play for the BVB.
"I do not fear anyone in football. Anyone who knows me knows that I will fight. I want to play. I will struggle through," he said in an interview.
The attacker claimed that as a footballer there is always a desire to play and that it is difficult sit on the bench. He further said that he is an opportunist and always wants it all. The star player insisted that he could play
in different positions but enjoys playing in his favourite left winger role.
"As a professional you want to play whenever possible. For anyone it is hard to sit on the bench. I always want to make the most of everything. Versatility could be my greatest strength. But I will of course prefer to play in my
position. My best position is on the left of midfield," he added.
Grosskreutz said that he will probably sign a new deal with the club but admitted the intrigue to ply his trade in the English Premier League.
"I think that there will be talks during the year. The priority is certainly Borussia Dortmund," he continued.
The playmaker has made 97 appearances for Dortmund and amassed 20 goals during a span of three years.
