Grossly Underpaid Justification.

Question

I am grossly underpaid in my current organization. This yrs appraisal I raised this with my manager. He agreed to discuss this with HR. However, he want justification from me why I am deserving this. And why should i get paid more. I wanna give a proper justification. Also, I am bit confuse to present my expectation. My Current CTC is RS. 260000/- PA. My colleagues are getting averagely 3.5-4.00 lakh PA. I am confused what should be my expectation. Could you please help on this.

It is true that some sectors are very stingy. But you can always chalk it up for experience in your cv........

I assume you are in India

I am in the US but have spent quite a bit of time there

I am not sure why YOU would have to justify it

Your best justification for the raise would be to get a high offer from another organization
