Question:

Grossman Vs. Orton--Forte Vs. "the other" Adrian Peterson

So Kyle Orton got the nod for starting Thursdays pre season game, team says not to read into it....hmmmm. Rex had a horrible practice at Soldier field, which leads me to believe he is still a big question mark on which Rex will show up. But for some strange reason I think Rex should be the starter, I wish we had picked up a proven vet in the off season.....your thoughts??

Everything I have seen about rookie Matt Forte has ben good, he has great instincts, fast, evasive etc etc...however I feel Adrian Peterson should get the starting nod over Forte. I feel that Forte should learn the offense better, before thrown in as a starting back in the NFL. I am sure Lovie & Co. will play the player that gives them the best chance to win........your thoughts???

  1. Rex Grossman is the reincarnation of Dave Krieg.  Hot and cold.  Sit him on the bench.  Peterson has the goods.  He needs to start.

  2. Yeah, I agree that Rex should still be the QB. I'm not sure whether its his experience or his good looks or for some other reason, but I still think he can be good.

As for the RB situation. I also believe that they should start Adrian Peterson over Matt Forte, or give him equal reps during pre-season or even regular season, and after that based on their performances, then choose the season starter for the rest of the games.

Hopefully our O-Line will be a lot better this year which will make both of these positions a lot better in my opinion.

  3. i think the bears should look into signing daunte culpepper he isnt great but hes better than grossman and orton (i think) and i agree with you about forte he is doing good so far but he should learn the offense before he gets out on the field
