  1. try boiled hemp (boiled untill it pops), the liquid the hemp was boiled in, sweetcorn, and pieces of baked bread (slowly bake it in an oven untill it is solid). i hear it works well! and if you use sweetcorn as bait, the fish won't be able to tell it apart from the other pieces of sweetcorn

  2. using no weight simply use an aberdeen hook and a nightcrawler throw it as far upstream as you can get it and watch it float on by all the while letting line out until it straightens out the line and reel it in and do it over and over and over. use a clear bobber with water in it to sink it under the water to cast further upstream and try to get the whole cast as far out to the middle or up against the other side as you can.

  3. Check out this article about ground bait. If you look further down, it gives you some recipes. But it also teaches you how to use it efficiently and the importance of each ingredient so you can create your recipes.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

  4. This is my ground bait mix you can try it.

    Brown breadcrumb (Blended)

    Sweetcorn

    Whiskas cat crunchies

    Pedigree dog mixer

    Casters

    Halibut micro pellets

Now mix all these up on the eve of the fishing trip (Not the caster though) and walla you have  an excellent all ground bait mix.Add the casters after all the blending.
