  3. The answer in most people's opinion is B.  As there is nothing else to add, I shall leave it at that.

    It is more important to listen to what the other person is saying, and understand exactly what they are saying before expressing your own needs.  If you focus on your own needs, you are missing what the other person is saying.  Then no communication is going on.

    Effective communication requires a dialogue to be exchanged between two or more people. B allows for the dialogue to only flow one way, so no exchange is being made.
