Groundhog problem!?

I had 2 groundhogs first in my backyard and they've been digging wholes around my pool. Then I'm pretty sure one of them had babies, 8 of them! They all grew up pretty quickly and have been driving me crazy, I love to make my backyard look nice and green, but those little groundhog babies go out and eat my grass and plants. After a while I tried a couple of things to get them out, after that they left but the mother left 1 behind, why?? Then that groundhog got bigger and some how this other groundhog came. Then I saw 2 little ones, and then they grew. AND THEN now theres only one left. How can I get rid of them, I already know about the thing called "Shake Away" I'm going to buy that soon. Anyone know some home remedies I can use?

  1. Trap them & call the SPCA to come get them. If you call first, they might have traps you can use.

  2. Put mothballs in the tunnels, and start planting daffodils.

Ground hogs don't like them.  I dug up my daffodils and boy was I sorry!  I had not had a ground hog problem until I did that.  The daffodils are back, and the ground hogs are gone.

    Good Luck!

  3. you can always shoot them and make a Delicious meal for your family the young one taste good and are tender they only eat grass and stuff like cows and people eat beef

  4. omg ground hogs r sooo cute

  5. i have a groundhog and they've pretty much made a bunch of holes around my deck and shed. what i did is i covered up the holes and put slate on top then covered it with old lawn trimmings from my compost pile.thy will make more holes but if you rig your backyard to cover any placec for it easily to dig and it cant get into its home it will leave and go to another house to dig
