The head coach of the Friuli outfit has gone on to remark on the group stages of the European competition they are involved in and has further analysed the standings.
As of now the group that Udinese are in is topped by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Switzerland-c3016 occupying the last position of the Group A.
The excursions of European competition are starting to be felt by the rather limited squad at the disposal of Francesco Guidolin; this coupled with the fact that there are a number of players who are either unable to play due to injuries sustained during
the course of the season so far, or their exclusion from the UEFA list, it remains to be seen whether Guidolin would be able to put forth a team that will be able to compete effectively in the tournament.
There are currently 18 players that the head coach can select from, and given the fact that clubs usually have 23 players at their disposal, the situation that Guidolin finds himself in is a rather peculiar scenario. By not playing his key players, there
might be uproar from the fans; whereas he will be risking the fitness of players by putting them under too much excursion.
One such player is the highly influential Friulani player, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Di-Natale-c6306, who has been playing a lot of matches of late. Guidolin conceded that he would want to field Di Natale for the match on Thursday, but reminded everyone that there was still a long
way to go before the end of the season, and he had to think about the long run as well. He was quoted to have said:
“Di Natale is very important for us and in some circumstances he ought to be preserved. Let us not forget there is a long season ahead of us, though on the other hand he is in good shape right now. I have to work out what is the best thing to do in these
situations and I cannot get it wrong. We got it all wrong in Switzerland and we can’t do that again.”
The Udine outfit would be looking to curtail the threat posed by Bobadilla in the upcoming match, as the striker scored a hat trick against them on the 25th of October.
