Does anyone know which would be the best travel agent to go to that deals with group tours abroad, in my case to germany?? IVe tried Thomas Cook and Going Places so far but I can't find anything. Or if anyone has any other ideas about finding about any organisations that organise group tours then please tell me.

Thank You

  1. Travelscope Promotions specialise in group tours and can organise anything for you. They are an excellent company and will give you real value for money. You could also try Leger Holidays or Travelshere but they are not as good.

  2. If you are looking for a vacation tour of Germany, I suggest a) the internet b) you look at your local paper travel section for specials or travel agents in your area specializing in Germany.

It depends also whether you want to join a tour that has mostly Americans (book from US, look for travel packages from Liberty Travel or BJ's Club or search engines on the internet such as Travelocity or Expedia) or other nationalities (look at British websites for example to have an English speaking European travel group) or you could even travel with a German group, but then everything would be in German, and you would have to go to a German travel website.

One group that organizes tours from the us, and is supposed to be really good is :

    And how about these guys:

    Or these:

    Or:

    http://www.affordabletours.com/Germany/

    Check them out!

    Gute Reise!

You can find a tour manager who will make all the arrangements for you and lead the tour too.  Alternatively you can go to the major UK coach tour operators and either join one of their scheduled tours or ask them to lay on a tour just for you provided there are enough of you to fill or nearly fill a coach.

  4. Consider going by yourself or with family/friends.  It definitely helps to spk German, but it's easier to get around Germany speaking English (than for a German person to get around the US or UK speaking only German).  In big cities, you can take a tour (in English) covering the city and you can then decide which landmarks you really want to see.  The down side with tours is that you might have to get up early.  When one is on vacation, one should have the freedom to sleep late.  Some tour groups require you to be by the bus at 730 am.  Nein danke!
