Group home?

I recently acquired a job at a group home for people with disabilities. Has anyone ever worked in one? What is it like? I'm working an all day shift from 7am-9pm, and I'm kind of nervous as to what this work entails. I'm going to sign my contract on Monday, then start work after that.

  2. this is quite off topic but I wish you lots of luck. hard to say what it'll be like but you certainly have an opportunity to make a positive difference in these peoples lives.

  3. hi i have a brother and sister who live in 2 different houses and they both have didabilities ,my sister is not as bad as my brother ,and i can honestly say that the staff that look after them both are amazing ,and what they do is care for them ,if they are able to cook and set tables tidy there rooms then you help supervise them and encourage them ,if how ever they have problems like my brother then you look after all his day to day care needs and all medical needs ,working in one of these houses are filled with a lot of fun as all the staff are there to look after the residents as this is there home ,somewgo out all  daty then someone else would be in all day ,take care xx
