  1. At Bath and Body Works, they sat a bunch of us in a circle and went around asking different questions, like what we liked/disliked about our last job, why we were looking for this job, and what we could offer. It was pretty simple, and I think easier than a one-on-one interview.

  2. A group interview is done with a group of other job applicants.  Some one from HR explains to the entire group what the position entails, the hours, benefits, etc.  Sometimes a tour is given.  Applicants are then taken individually and interviewed.  Make sure that you pay attention because sometimes a small quiz is given at these types of interviews to see if you were paying attention.  Dress appropriately, show up early, and take a copy of your resume.  Good luck.

  3. During a job interview, you (the applicant) are quizzed by an interviewer who can ask any number of assorted questions. Usually, the interviewer will be most interested in your previous experience, your knowledge of the company, your strengths and weaknesses and so on.

Although you don't have any previous job experience, did you ever volunteer? Babysit? Lead or participate in a class group project? You can certainly talk about any of these areas to showcase skills and interests.

Come armed with a number of stories as interviewers like to hear examples - you might get asked, "How would you deal with a difficult customer?" You could answer this with, "Although I have not yet dealt with a difficult customer in a work setting, I did experience a similiar problem on a class project. One of my group partners was being difficult and not carrying his/her weight. I mentioned this to my teacher and, together, we spoke to the group member who apologized and began to contribute much more."

As was mentioned, dress well, arrive early and bring an extra copy of your resume. Show enthusiasm for the job, remember to pause and think about a question if you can't answer it immediately and have a few questions to ask of the interviewer - you'll often get that chance at the end of your interviewer.

    Knock 'em dead!
