I've never been to a group interview before, so what should I expect? What kind of question will be asked? I really want this job, so how do I stand out from the other applicants?

  1. Depending on where you sit, you have more time to think about an answer to a question. Also, it may be obvious that it's a competition, if only slightly obvious.. i.e. people trying to get in words as much as they can. People may seem 'fake'... it can be artificial. Try to befriend people if possible before the interview so that there's less tension... that's my best advice. Also use your waiting time wisely to think about a good response to each question.

  2. The same as a single person interview. Dont let the word "group" intimidate you. When you speak, look at everyone and talk to them no matter who ask the question. its kind of like giving a speech to a crowd. Acknowledge everyone. There should be one spokesperson who will lead the interview and then each person will ask a question. If Sarah, ask you  a question, start talking to her directly but then acknowledge everyone. Youll be asked the usual questions. Its just more people to give a final decision. Stay confident and you will be fine:)
