The others want to go sight seeing, go cart tracks and flea markets. Where can they go? I don't know much about Sandusky. Thanks in advance.

  1. Since Sandusky is not that large of a town, there isn't much to do that is actually located in Sandusky.  We find ourselves having to drive elsewhere to find entertainment the majority of the time, unless you like going to the mall to shop or seeing a movie.  If you like to do either of those two things, the mall has the typical mall stores, but nothing fancy.  There are two movie theaters, one located behind the mall and one located behind Wal-Mart.  There is the lake that can be fun...you can jet-ski or swim, but if I was going to go swimming, I would go to any of the indoor waterparks/hotels to swim (Kalahari, Great Wolf Lodge, Castaway Bay, Maui Sands).  Another place that could be interesting would be the Merry-go-Round Mueseum in Sandusky, but that shouldn't take all day.  There is go-kart tracks at Cedar Point, along with a miniature golf course, all located at the Challenge Park.  For a place that is most likely cheaper, you could go to Goofy Golf which has go-karts and miniature golf as well.  As for a flea market, the closest flea market is Jamie's Flea Market in South Amherst, but other than that flea market, there aren't that many flea markets in the area that are open all the time.

  2. There isn't a lot to do there. Cedar point is the main attraction. They do have a few indoor water parks in the area..the Kalahari Resort, Cedar Point's indoor water park and Great Wolf Lodge. Other than that I have never noticed much in that area. I would stop and get a local paper, maybe they will have some info about things going on in the city for that time you are there. Maybe even search on line for upcoming events.
