Groups Account Diabled?

Question

Yahoo says it has disabled my groups account because I supposedly "an auto-responder set up." What do I dod to get this fixed?

This can happen when your computer's email program is set to send an automatic reply when you are not going to be available to receive messages. If so, when the auto reply is sent to Yahoo, it automatically puts you on Auto-responder status.  It can happen when large amounts of emails are sent by you to a group.  If this is the case, you need to remove email auto reply message.

After you have done the above, you can request that your Auto-responder status be reset by Yahoo staff.  Use the Yahoo Help Form. http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/...

Ignore #6.  Don't answer any of #6.

In #8, click the down arrow and select "Other".

In #9, In the first text box, make sure you type in "How do I reset auto-responder status?", then describe what your problem is.

Then in the second text box, copy and paste the message you received about the auto-responder.

In #10, click on the "Send" button located near bottom of page.

Give them some time to check into your problem. Usually, the Yahoo staff will reset that status immediately. If they reset it for you, they might or might not reply.  If they don't reply and after giving them enough time to deal with it, you can check it yourself by sending a message to the group and see if it goes through.

if you're using yahoo mail, here's the help form. this can also happen if you've sent too many posts or e-mails within a short period of time.
