Grow plants?

i did an experiment do bean seeds grow better under a red light bulb or sun light. i found out that they grew better/taller under red light

for my project i need a conclution

and i dont know why red light worked better can someone tell me why red light works better?

and do bean/ any plant seed work better with red light, am i right about plants frowing better under red light?

major project my science teacher is a real brain suurgeon and she treats us like scientisits so it has to be perfect.

  1. Plants prefer red light because chlorophyll absorbs and recovers usable energy best at that frequency.

    Photosynthesis in plants requires two photons of light, one to split the water, and a second a moment later to boost the energy level of the electrons in the PS1 (P700) step. Red light is very good for this second step, other colors are actually harmful.
