Growing Basil?

Is it easy to grow basil inside? What is the best way to grow it? How long will it take from start until you are able to use it for cooking?

I'm not sure about inside, but outside in pots works great. As soon as the leaves are big, u can use it. I have one small pot and it gives me all the basil i need.

No. Basil is an outdoor lover. You need plenty of sun and moist soil constantly without it being over wet.

It grows really fast in a sunny spot if you can buy it as a plant already.  Seeds work too but will take longer.

Depending on how much you need, though, it could take a few weeks.

i grow my'n in my garden. and it turned out great this year! but pots wrok well too. and once its nice and grown and like full you can pick it and use it in pasta or for meats you can also can and store it thats what we're doin with it this year
