Growing Summer Squash ?

Our market recently had a few summer squash. The price was $ 2.99 ea !! We love to grill them with onion and butter, but I cannot afford them at that price. Can I grow them in Las Vegas ? Anyone have thoughts ? Thanks.

Sure you can grow them there in Nevada, the only problem you might have is the extreme temps.  But give it a shot and enjoy fresh squash at a discount price in 60 days plus or minus.

Thats too much go with the drip waterer and grow your own

You can grow them anywhere.  Just make sure you pick the squash often and when they are about 4-6 inches in size.  The smaller squash are tastier than the larger ones.  Be on the lookout for squash borer eggs which will eventually turn into the larval form and bore into your squash vine.  They could eventually kill the vine.  Try planting successively to sustain your crop longer.

You can grow them anywhere.That seems like a lot of money,they sell in Michigan for about 25 cents each at roadside stands.
