Growing cougettes???

Im growing two courgette plants in two containers.

and one plant is producing round fruit and not normal long fruits? why is this?

there are several shapes in the zucchini (cougerette) world and it may be you got mis labeled seed and have a patty pan plant. Patty pan are as good or better than the long type. or you have a pumpkin which is the same genus species as zucchini.

Hi - I have a round courgette plant and several long ones.  We have just started harvesting each variety and ate some last night, sliced and mixed in a ratatouille - there was no difference in taste between the two types of courgette.

As far as I remember the seed packet of the round one said tondo Chiaro di Nizza.  These are meant to be gathered and treated in exactly the same way as the more typical finger shaped ones.
