Question:

Growing cucumbers?

when growing cucumbers is it true that you have to tickle them, sounds a bit daft to me.

  1. Where do you tickle them?  I haven't heard that one before.  Mine are fine, lots of cukes, and no tickling.


  2. Sorry never tickled mine. They seem to be doing fine without the tickling. LOL

  3. No. Cucumbers grow so good that you usually end up with enough for the whole neighborhood.

  4. No........just get them in the sun......and water them.....when they are young plants get some bug powder around and on them..........after that, don't fall asleep in the patch......they will grow right over you..............great food.

  5. I always tickle the flowers with a Cotton bud as I am not sure which are the male and female flowers

  6. I tried that with my cucumbers and they just laughed at me
