I am going to be trying to grow tomatoes but since I don't have a backyard i will have to grow it in a pot on my balcony. But it is the end of the summer so do you think i could be able to grow a pot of tomatoes in my home and what can i do so it will grow?? Any other veggies or fruits that are easy and I can grow in my house that are easy to care for would be very helpful. Please explain what I will have to do to grow them and care for them thank you very much.

  1. OK, tomatoes need a lot of sun, so if your balcony is sunny you should have no problems.  Look for "patio tomatoes" at your local nursery, BUT because it is late in the year, you might not be able to find any.  If not, wait till next year.

Most vegetables are fairly easy to grow, but again, they practically all need full sun.

Some things you can try growing in pots over the winter are lettuce, broccoli, cilantro, etc.  In other words, the "cold-weather" crops.

This is a pretty good website:

    Good harvest!
