Growing maize?

Hi, for my assignment in argriculture i have to do a timeline showing the whole period of growth for maize. I have to include pic of machenary etc. This is the breif i was given.

on about one side of a3 annotate a one year time line showing the annual production cycle for maize. You must cover theese poinnts

resons for growing the crop

times to sow,fertilize, spray, harvest etc (and what indicactions that the crop is ready for harvest)

selection of a particualr variety of maize

machinery required for soil preperation, sowing, maintenance (spraying/fertalising), harvest and transport

include photographs of all the machinery used and to show what the different stages of the crop growth look like.

Quite an assignment.  Scientists have been working on that question for well over 400 years. and I think your supposed to put all that on a 3 x 5 card.  He will never be able to read it if you include pictures.

On the first one we grow corn crops to produce either grain, silage, sweet corn, popcorn, or even occasionally green manure or ground cover.
