  1. This is very normal in young children and in pre-adolescents

Some things that may help alleviate the pain include:

    massaging the area

    stretching

placing a heating pad on the area

    giving ibuprofen or acetaminophen

  2. potassium supplement, stretching and motrin.push back on the area that hurts...like push her legs back toward her for her thigh...seems to help mine

  3. this is not growing pains. Growing pains are in the joints. If it is not feeling better in a couple of days then take her to the doctor

  4. Lol i have them everywhere on me! It kills im 12 too

    ouch!

  5. stretching will not work for the pain , its going to make it worse . just give her Tylenol and let her rest . its very painful , from what i could remember .

  6. Okay interesting has she tried over her head for the arm and lunges for the thighs!

  7. feed her bananas and gatorade.  take her to the doctor to rule out a medical cause.

  8. I'm going through the same thing with my son.  The Doc told me to give him Motrin as needed and make him eat a banana a day.  He told him to stretch and massage after he gets out of the shower.  I feel bad for my son, because he said it really hurts.
