I have a couple peach pits I'm interested in planting; I got them from NY and I'd like to plant them in Ohio. Any tips?

  1. Don't try to grow peach trees from peach pits.  You need to have a peach tree seedling to grow a peach tree.  Although you will grow a nice enough tree, the fruit on those trees will always be rotten in the center, surrounding the pit.  You won't be able to use any of the fruit, so why grow the tree?

  2. a lot of fruit trees are hybrids. I don't even know if you can still  grow a tree normally anymore.

But it is worth a try. Get a pot and some dirt and plant it. See what happens.

  3. cut a peach in half, careful not to cut the seed. clean it and then put it in soil and then water it with some water and sunlight. it should grow and be good
