I'm growing pumpkins. Although i can't find the difference between a male and female flower on a pumpkin. I know there is a little lump beneath a flower of a female flower pumpkin, but is there anything else that useful to see the difference between a male and female flower pumpkin.

  1. the plant will soon let you know

  2. You need to talk to your local County Extension Service or even the closest school of agriculture to you in your state.   Texas A&M University would be an excellent source of information; if you are in another state, the university that has a school of agriculture should be able to help you.

  3. male flowers grow in the crown of the plant and female flowers grow along the vine.
