Growing salvia?

Question

I'm thinking about buying a plant, and i was wondering if anyone has tried and/or had advice. I live in alabama, so the climate is significantly more humid than mexico. And the soil content is different of course.

Oh also if you use miracle grow is it still ok to smoke it. I hope some of you "closet growers" can share some insight with me.lol.

I'm in California in a desert region and it grows well here and comes up all year.

if you're buying salvia...make sure it's right kind.  Salvia is just a genus of the entire species of sage, most of which you can't really do anything with.
