    reasoning:

    Predominant plants are trees: that rules out desert and tundra.

    Growing season 9-12 months. means it must be tropical forest.

    As for hardwood trees:

    coniferous forest does not have hardwoods.

    deciduous forest has hardwoods, but not necessarily predominant, and definitely not 9-12 month growing season.

    Tropical: i wouldn't necessarily say predominant plants are hardwood, but I guess it could be argued.
